went for Ly's dancesport competition yesterday at NTU Sports & Recreation Centre with Andrew and Ray (Ly's bf). Ly and her partner, Sayful (did I spell his name correctly?) were fantastic on the dance floor! wahahahahahahaha. great great great great greater than great! =D was smiling and enjoying myself thoroughly watching them dance. hehehehehe. so proud of you, Ly! =D hahahahahaha.
there were very awesome dance couples competing, and one of my faves were from NTU. the girl and the guy were equally charming and expressive, they were so so so beautiful on the dance floor and ahhhhhhhhh......... captivating =D hahahahaha.
but we got tired and confused watching after the god-knows-how-many-rounds, coz they were doing almost the same dances over and over again, and it was the same couples over and over again. some of them were very expressive, and there was this couple i observed, they were very good, they had all the emotions and expressions right, but i got bored after watching them for 3 rounds. i have no idea why, really, but perhaps it was coz i found that their emotions were too well-rehearsed it didn't come across with the same impact that strikes the heart every time. wells, i dunno. hahahahhaa.
i thought dancesport is more difficult than other forms of theatrical dances, coz with the audience on the floor, and dance couples whom u've never met around you, it was easier to get ur aura affected. lol. at the beginning there were a lot of couples crashing into one another and no, that was not very good. but my darling Ly and her partner have very good spatial awareness they didn't crash into anyone =D hehehehhee.
anyways, i was thinking that i would be going back to dancing somewhen this year, perhaps when i move to the campus in town. it's time to get myself back =) i dun think i'll do ballet though. i want to do something more free-form. but hmm, i dun think i'd do dancesport or ballroom either. hahaha.
