your light will shine when all else fades

am finishing my next piece of clothing, a shift dress. most of it my mum's work coz I can't handle the newly-repaired sewing machine. it's too fast for me to handle and my stitches are impossibly crooked. hahaha. am planning to make a kimono out of batik next. hehehe. but i wonder on what occassion will a kimono be of use. not as if i'm going to japan. hahaha. but i would someday like to wear a yukata (or is it yutaka?) hahaha. ah well, there's no end to my mom's dressmaking genius.
my brother's finally getting married next Jan and I'm so happy that he'll be outta the house soon. no longer keen on naming nephews/nieces from his family. got sick of him. i pity his fiancee.
and i've been reflecting on how important it is to have a good, responsible spouse. coz once we get a terrible spouse, that's it, we're dead. life will be impossibly hard. for ourselves and our children. not all adults are capable of shouldering the responsibilties of starting a family. example, paedophilic fathers. if a marriage is unable to provide a suitable environment to raise kids, then most probably the kids will turn out all wrong, and the thing passes on to the grandkids. and of course, women these days must be smart coz a lot of guys these days are jerks. must not let men cheat us women =D these are just some random observations from observing others, and reflections from my fever-fried brain cells.
