had a great time last night, for the first time ever since i was 8 years old, i celebrated my birthday in my hometown. 11 years away from home has been quite an experience. anyway, i'm just so happy to be back =D
had a cozy dinner with my parents, my brother and his fiancee, a few of my cousins and a few of my uncles/aunt. 12 of us gathered noisily at a single table, perched on the balcony overlooking someone else's wedding dinner, which gave a very weird atmosphere. the waiter offered to have the emcee downstairs (at the wedding dinner), say something to acknowledge our presence at the balcony and i'm like nooo thanks.... dun want... just want to keep things quiet and private =D haha. but we were far from quiet. haha. my cousin and i commented at the dancers performing at the wedding downstairs, how their dance group is called Cleopatra Dancers and we were expecting them to come up with some egyptian dance... but they didn't! they were wearing tube dresses with hoop skirts and i marvel at how the dresses don't drop while they're dancing.... haha. and they were doing some kind of hula dance in those dresses and i was thinking they might look better with lilo's hula skirt (from lilo and stitch) instead. anyway, it was kinda free entertainment. hahaha. then there was this wedding singer who dressed like Wonder Woman complete with a bandanna and a red tube dress. and she sang in Chinese! like since when did Wonder Woman learn chinese....hahahaa... and no one downstairs cheered for the wedding singers so our table at the balcony was the only one cheering and we seemed...crazy... hahaha.
then there was this huge fake wedding cake at the end of the balcony where couples getting engaged/married usually use as background for the wedding photographs. hahaha. and we kinda used that as the backdrop....hahahaha. i swear the atmosphere's weird. hahaha. then my cousin and my cousin's fiance started acting gay on the white chair...and we have very interesting photos. hahaha. can't upload now coz my internet's way too slow. and the waiter was very nice/patient with us even though we were so over-lively. hahaha. i think my dad gave him quite a good tip when we were about to leave. haha. then my cousin gave me a very weird gift.... she printed a banner of my photo during my ballet photoshoot last year... so huge! i feel so weird when i look at it... it's like not looking at myself. hahaha. the only not-so-good thing at the dinner was that my nose was running like mad and i couldn't taste any of the food/cake. but i'm sure the food's good, even though i can't taste it. hahaha.
