Sun, sand, sky, mountain ranges, cooling breeze, rich culture, vivid attractions. I loved Bali and love Bali still. So here are the pictures... At Lovina Beach,
near my aunt's house.
The beach is renowned for dolphins living near its seas, but I didn't get to watch the dolphins..... =(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((
One day I WILL swim with dolphins.

With my cousins living in Bali

With my closest cousin.
Looks like a pre-wedding picture (so they say)
hahahahahhaa =D yes i love her <3
At Tanah Lot, where they sell sailboat kites that sail in the blue, blue sky.
There's a place of worship at the top of the rocks....
and a "Holy Snake"... that is in a small hole and u just stick ur hand in to touch it.
my question is, are u supposed to touch holy snakes???
if i'm a holy snake i wun want dirty hands to touch me.
Oh wait, tourists pay, yeah hmm, i want money.
The Balinese place of worship
Look at the white surf rolling along the sea surface, pretty ain't it?
The waves are high and so are our spirits, flying, flying above, carried by the wind.
At Tanjung Benoa beach, it was sweltering hooooooooottttttttttt!
The sand was white and roasting, perfect for a foot spa.
The sand exfoliates the dead skin away, and the heat improves blood circulation.
MMmmm...free foot reflexology+spa+pedicure
At Kuta beach, the central of water sports, tourists, and infinitely more.
The place where fishes lie dead and decomposed, the air stenched of pollution, death and dumb tourists dumping rubbish recklessly. Too ugly to take a picture of it and ruin my fine memory of beautiful Bali.
Crystal clear, turquoise waters where fishes roam freely, breaking the surface occassionally to meet tourists on glass-bottomed boats.
and we are the tourists =P

At Pulau Penyu (Turtle Island)
My neck vs the turtle's neck =P
Whose is longer? =D

With the protected animals at Pulau Penyu
So disrespectful of the majestic Sea Eagle....
He should be looking like this, calm and composed...

Or treated with tender loving care <3
Or accompanied by 2 pretty girls =P
At GWK Cultural Centre
Giant statue of the god, Vishnu.
The Balinese are mostly Hindus, hence the Vishnu monument.
View from the top
the first lotus shot from my flowers collection

And the giant Garuda statue (the Garuda is Indonesia's national bird)
He has the cutest beak. LOL.
With the Barongkah, Balinese version of the Lion dance.
My cousin, Nikki, staying at Hotel Nikki. Get it? :P

On the way to Goa Lawah (Bat Cave, where Batman lives)
It was the most, most peaceful and serene rolling green paddy fields all the way to Goa Lawah, with the cool mountain winds blowing from the mountain ranges.

The Goa Lawah, protected by the Balinese place of worship (Pura-pronounced pu-reh)
The Pura was my favourite place during the whole Bali trip.
When we first stepped into the gates of the pura, we felt like we have stepped into another world, peaceful and serene, holy and sanctified.
I felt humbled, as if I too was praying deep, deep inside.

and the famed bats.
it was infinitely difficult to get this shot because the pagoda was so high and so wide. I had to almost kiss the ground to get it, even then the edges are a little cut off. but as i was taking the picture, i saw the golden rims glistening in the setting sun. i was in awe.

Big trees get clothed coz the Balinese believe that big trees have spirits living in them.
I like that they still respect nature.
Pagan or not, I don't care, but I respect them for what they believe in.

On the way back from Denpasar to Singaraja.
View from a mountaintop restaurant.

Reliving childhood moments on an old, wooden swing
Ah, so relaxed. Love the climate.
With other customers singing songs on a guitar.
Lovely, ain't it? =D
The misty mountains.

At Bedugul
I was trying to feature the street vendors, NOT the tourist boy looking into the camera.

Little town next to the lake. Quaint!
Experimenting in Sepia tone
End of journey.
