ok. so the body tattoo came out aft 2 days. i still have lots more. hehe. anyway i'm in the process of making a shift dress with soft pleats from balinese batik. it's PINK. haha. just cut the cloth this morning amidst all of the turmoil happening around me. finally couture season is here. can look for more designs, although they may not always be practical,but still good for reference. oh and i've bought a local fashion magazine. ultra cool, lotsa flamboyant clothes and makeup. a lot a lot of substance, my mum got the inspiration of my batik dress from some of the clothing featured in the magazine. and did i say that local advertisements on TV are such an enjoyment to watch? they have interesting plots and really witty puns. just that the cigarette adverts are too OTT, claiming smoking will make you more 'manly' (pukes)
anyway, election season is in full swing in Indo, and i'm enjoying all of the govmt propaganda and whatever rubbish advertisements and banners they put up. anyway i dun believe a single bit of it, whether they say they're bringing down oil prices, cleaning up corruption, embracing all races, bla bla bla. most of the time no1 walks the talk, so what's the point of talking? haha. bleagh i really can't be bothered. the transport system is so screwed up everyday tens of lives are lost due to transport-related accidents. derailed trains, buses going down cliffs, sunken ferries, falling planes. bleagh. lies lies and more lies.
my beloved cousin has left me for Jogjakarta. my parents didn't allow me to go with her coz they're WORRIED. and i wonder why they're not worried about leaving me unguarded in singapore, some far away land. oh wait, different country. anyway, my cousin's off enjoying herself with her frens and i'm like stranded in my city doing accounts, accounts, accounts. i really hate hate accounts. too many zeroes in rupiah currency. i get dizzy. and now i can barely keep my eyes open becoz i'm so tired from counting. and counting. and counting. i wanna go Jogja and buy some more of Jogja's batik, coz Indonesia's batik has numerous types of designs, depending on location. but too bad i can't go so i can't buy T.T
CNY was great. enjoyed myself thoroughly here with my parents, and collecting a lot a lot of angbao money. hehehehehhee. i get twice the amt in surabaya than in singapore, aft currency conversion, even. so yup i'm wondering where to spend it to since i dun think i can change to singapore dollars. fed my grandma cake and dessert. played with my nephews and nieces. played cards with my cousins. visited a few relatives and whatever whatsoever. wore balinese sundress for CNY, embroidered ballet flats and silver/turqoise earrings(also from bali). hehe. bali is shopping paradise. yilin, if only you were there with me in bali!!! we would shop till we drop and we have no money left in our pockets. hahahaha. i'm going with my parents to a party this sunday, and i'm planning to wear the satin dress i made previously for my brother's engagement party to the event, together with a belt made from shells that i also got from bali. muahahahaha. i really love bali, although most of the coral reefs are destroyed by mankind's rubbish.
gosh, u know what, i dreamt of ziyin and bingxin and several classmates last night. i rmb i dreamt that i went swimming with the girls. swimming....so far-fetched. and ziyin was persuading us to buy something. i dunno what. i think i'm getting delirious and missing my fwens. i wonder when in this era will cambridge send back the A-level results. i'm getting tired of waiting, i want to keep moving................
