your light will shine when all else fades

Choosing a uni course, makes me think of Conrad's Heart of Darkness, something about choice of nightmares, and how we have to follow it through.
Anyway, here's a nice analogy. How about thinking of it as if you are taking a personality test as you're making that choice. And there's this question that many personality tests have:
If you were a supernatural being, what magical powers would you like to have?
1) Talking to animals
2) Psychic
3) Control and generate fire
4) Teleportation
5) Healing
6) Metamorphosis
something like that. and everytime i get a question like this. i'll be pondering over whether i want to talk to animals, or i want to heal others. and the question still goes on....
I watched a dance last week, a modern piece, Possibilities: Two roads out of a goldfish bowl.
I feel like a goldfish right now, swimming around in my bowl, pondering which side of the bowl should i jump out from. hopefully meeting a river, or a water source of some sort. Melissa Quek, the choreographer and dancer for the dance said that it's okay to make a wrong decision, there's still a chance to change course. but what if u didn't need to change course, and can just do what u love? the thing i should ask myself is, what do i love more? how much do i love it?
