Went shopping today with my sis along Orchard Road (ah, where else in singapore) Anyway, I got lotsa nice stuffs! And all of them are ethnic-inspired. hehe.
So here is a picture of a beautiful pair of earrings I got today. Haha. It's so so beautiful and artistic and the shop was full of all of these sort of earrings. Very Japanese, and each is so special, and when I look at each pair, I feel like they are telling their own stories to me. Well, after much picking and choosing, my sis chose this pair for me. I don't know if you can see the picture above clearly, but it's a pair of dolphins meeting in the ocean. It's just so so so so beautiful. I can't take my eyes off it! Haha. Really really fascinating. And such great luck to be able to find it! Haha.
Then we found this tube dress that's made out of this Indian-like fabric. It's very much like those rich rich type of saree. Once again, my sis' eyes caught it. Haha. It's fun to go shopping with a weird sister coz then can find all the weird weird stuff =P haha. But well, it's really one of a kind and unbeatable! And i can't wait to wear it =))) Hehe.
Anyway, the thing about buying stuff is, buy what you need, what you want and what you're comfortable and confident in. If it doesn't fall into all of these categories, then just don't get it. There's no point because then it'll just be a waste of money, sitting in the wardrobe. While shopping, I often hear people saying that I can't wear this, I have fat XXX, my YYY is ugly, etc etc. I'm sure such conversations come up often during shopping trips. Well the thing is, there is no need to have an unrealistic supermodel-like body to be able to wear beautiful stuff. I mean, just treat models like living clothes hangers okay, coz they're there to showcase the clothes, not their sexy bodies (this will belong to another unmentioned career). But anyway, we're all not flawless, so it's really okay to have imperfections here and there. Just be comfortable in our own skin =D
