your light will shine when all else fades

I've never really bothered about small little festivals, like Cheese Day or those weird funny days celebrating weird funny things.Yes, I know that every little thing in life is worth celebrating about, but I just don't really care about which date what day. Then I was writing an e-card, and there it is, on the website, June 9th- Profess Your Love Day.
I've thought about 'expressing love' for a long long time. To me, the greatest regret in life would be the failure to express love. Sometimes we are deprived of chances to express love for those whom we hold close to our hearts. It might be that geographical positions don't allow for close contact. Sometimes those we love are no longer in the human world. And the thing is, we will eventually lose those whom we love, which gives even more reason for us to express our love to them right here and now. It takes much courage, sometimes, to express love to others. Not everyone is comfortable with that, those touchy-feely stuff. But it does make a lot of difference, if you do it with sincerity. Kiss your mum, hug your dad, will just brighten up their day. Write a letter with pen and paper to your friends, how many people still do that these days? Haha. The thing is, seize every chance to express your love to others. Don't assume that people know that you love them, let them see it.
Well, June 9th is "Profess Your Love Day", so seize the day! Pluck up some courage, do it with sincerity, and the people around you might just go around smiling all day, all week, forever, remembering how you have touched their hearts.
