another term has passed, yet again. i counted. 7/8 of IP life has passed. 1/8 life remains. and what will i do with the rest of my time with the friends who i have come to learn to love so much? one word that came to my mind was 'cherish'. the thing that i believe in is that we have to treasure every moment we have with others. and to continually build up our relationships. simply because one day, friends are going to leave us. but the friendship remains. the emotion remains. we cannot lose before we learn to treasure what we have, because by then it is too late. perhaps, we should be more honest with ourselves. be honest with our feelings and be honest in how we behave towards our friends. honesty. it's something that has been in the back of my mind, but has only just surfaced. "to thyself be true", it's something to think about.
perhaps the lack of truthfulness to myself is what makes me fail to acknowledge how terrible i have been. i didn't fulfill my roles as i should. and there's no turning back. there's only myself to blame for what i have done. and i have to rectify the problems i have created, the mistakes i have made. and i hope that the people after me will not make the same mistakes again.
i have to keep working at making myself a better person. i need to find myself again. dig up all my beliefs and principles. and do some editting. it's the continual self-reformation that makes us grow up by and by. might be difficult to try, but better than not trying at all. i just need that extra bit of courage, faith and optimism to keep me going.
