xmas: the joy of giving? hahaha. (or rather, hohoho)
just a day for retailers to market their products and make the cash registers ring like crazy. another excuse for us to spend a lot of our parents' hard-earned money on those presents (for urself and for others)
another excuse to receive presents besides only on ur birthday.
and for artistes to record their xmas albums and xmas songs/carols (to make more money)
and for the church to pull more people into their midst.
and for being nice to everyone (for just one day) come on, who even says hello to the salesgirl besides xmas time. (okay, i do. sometimes.)
oh, and to worsen global warming by cutting down pine trees. (see, finland is LACKING snow!)
ah wells.
i'm not Scrooge. but in this bad bad society, even xmas is not that nice after all.
am i too pessimistic? hahaha. face it.
if u really think about it, u don't have to be in this so-called 'spirit of giving' only for xmas. u can do it all the time, it's just whether or not u want to be nice to others. you can give presents to others, just because u really appreciate the person. you can say hello to the salesgirl all year round! xmas it's just an excuse. haha ><
the good thing is... i got myself a pullover. muahahaha. it's NICE =D
