back from class chalet!!!!! =D it was really good. even though i was cleaning up and making salad more than half the time, it was good. i went down to the small part of the beach with baoru. it was just a small part of sand. not very nice, but it's okay. i liked the sound of the waves and the blue blue sky plus the few puffs of clouds floating around lazily. so anyway, the 2 of us picked up a stick each, and we began to write on the sand. i went to write on the part of the sand where i knew the waves would erase my writing on purpose. so i would write very very fast and then the waves would lap up my writing. sometimes i wasn't fast enough and i couldn't finish writing before the waves came to attack.

1) write what you want fast, or the waves will erase it.
in other words, make a difference now and do it fast, or time will pass. if you don't dare to do what you want now, you'll lose the opportunity, and you may regret forever.

2) the waves may erase the footprints on the sand, but that does not mean the footprints had never been there.
things in life may pass by and fade away, but this does not mean that they have never existed before.

anyways, we watched Moulin Rouge at the chalet yesterday. must be the 6th or 7th time i've watched. it's cool to watch with ur classmates coz the response will be bigger. haha. that movie is so super good. think i've said this a million times. but seriously, ewan mcgregor's singing and his songs make my heart melt. too bad no such guy as sweet as the character in the movie on this earth. haha. i feel like buying the DVD =D i've been waiting for a musical movie with that standard to appear. too bad i've been disappointed. even the Phantom of the Opera was not as nice. haha. -hope mei keen and ly don't kill me-

just received an e-mail from Warrior Of The Light, an e-newsletter by Paulo Coelho.
extract:

Conscious faith is freedom.
Instinctive faith is slavery.
Mechanical faith is madness.
Conscious hope is strength.
Emotional hope is cowardice.
Mechanical hope is sickness.
Conscious love arouses love.
Emotional love arouses the unexpected.
Mechanical love arouses hate.

There lay the answer: the same elements (faith, hope and love) with their nuances, always leading to different consequences. I began to be aware that repeated experiences serve a purpose: they teach you what you have not yet learned. From that day on, I have always sought for a different solution to each repeated struggle – and little by little I found my path.

i guess sometimes i lose faith when the same problems keep resurfacing, the same things keep on happening, coz it means i have not made any progress. then i remember that life is trying to teach me something i have overlooked, so i sharpen my senses, and search for that lesson that life is trying to teach me.

“How do I know at least that I am traveling this path with love and dignity?”

“God uses loneliness to teach us about living together. Sometimes he uses anger so that we can understand the infinite value of peace. At other times he uses tedium, when he wants to show us the importance of adventure and leaving things behind.

“God uses silence to teach us about the responsibility of what we say. At times he uses fatigue so that we can understand the value of waking up. At other times he uses sickness to show us the importance of health.

“God uses fire to teach us about water. Sometimes he uses earth so that we can understand the value of air. And at times he uses death when he wants to show us the importance of life.”
