argh today's celebration is so sian...
supposed to usher little kids around de. in the end, i dun even see the kids. argh wadeva. the seniors took them all. hmph.
so we juz stone around lar. =( watched the performances and went home
it was so sian, they shouldn't combine community service day with NDC.
and i thought watching concerts were boring enough... this is like worse coz there isn't a single to amuse u, unless it's self-amusement.
sigh.
juz now andre asked if i was going to the national day celebration of darling Indonesia at the embassy. i said yeah, if i could lar. so he gonna ask mr tan for me too. yipee!~
hahaha. for years i've been here i've never celebrated Indo's national day. chao sad lar. hope can get to celebrate it this year.
all that i could remember of Indo's nat. day is when i was in primary school, they had this really formal ceremony and we dress in our red and white uniform, there was one time when i danced for the school. haha. that was the 1st time i put on make-up n i have hated make-up ever since. LoL. then on that day itself, we watch the celebrations on TV coz they have the formal celebrations in Jakarta, so we can only watch it on TV. yepp. then there will be lotsa indo flags hanging around, and my daddy and grandpa will take out the flag and put it on this flagpole and put it outside our hse. i've always enjoyed watching them tie the flag to the pole then put it inside this hole in the ground. really cute =) and i always love the traditional dances they show on tv for the celebrations. haha. really nice. then the whollleee city will be merrily decorated in red and white and the atmosphere is really nice! there'll be those party trumpets blown around the whole town and they will play the drums and have a street parade. i love the street parades!!! it's so nice lar. i used to watch them from my daddy's shop when they went pass our street. and my siblings will come out to watch too! really fun lar =D i want to go celebrate too!~ it's on the 17 Aug. yayye. =DD
