watched pearl harbor, like many.
tears came to my eyes, daggers of hurt and sorrow stabbed my heart.
and this is what i felt after what i saw:

I finally saw for myself, the terror of war.
I saw something I have never imagined in my life.
Something I thought I knew, but I now know I don't.
And I feel blessed, to live in peace, in security, with my family, with my friends.

and I wrote what I saw on the screen:
Pearl Harbor fell under the air raid of the Japanese. The peaceful Sunday, faintly perturbed by the roars of the Japanese warplanes. Yet, the people thought the planes were of peace, one of them. However, the harsh reality proved otherwise.

The deafening roars of the Japanese planes, the screams of terror, that of men, that of women, that of the old, that of the young. Whizzes of bullet, plunging of torpedoes. For the Sunday, Pearl Harbor was engulfed in a cloud a smoke. A smoke which contained war, smelt of peace, contained terror, smelt of bravery, contained hatred, smelt of love. That of the horror of men killing... men. What autrocity! Beneath the skin, the blood is red.

Such terror in a movie, what that of reality?! Panic, screams of pain and horror, loss of the beloved, broken limbs, tearing bodies. Sinking ships, falling torpedoes, raining bullets, roar of planes, deafening explosions! Love thy neighbour as thyself. Where did love run to? Where did peace hide under?

False sights of war, stabs the hurt, sours the eyes. Real sight of war, need I say more?
