read "Tuesdays with Morrie" again, doing for a book review.
long time since i've read a book in one sitting.
learnt a lot of things all over again.
i wonder why they dun do this kind of books for lit.
i mean like they are so much more meaningful.
reading about war (LOTF) made me traumatised.
even spent 1 hr shivering and lying on bed thanks to Simon's death.
arrr, i'm too emotional.

"Don't assume it's too late to get involved."

haha. better late than never.
i'm practically late for everything (not appointments)
late for ballet, dance.
late for learning english and chinese (how the heck did i learn these languages?)
wadeva.
but well, this is real true. learning is forever. getting involved takes courage.

"Learn to forgive yourself and to forgive others."

i admit, i committed a lot of mistakes.
sometimes i can't even forgive myself.
however, why be burdened by all these things?
forgiving is relieving a burden, i feel.

"If the culture doesn't work, don't buy it. Create your own."

here i am, trying to create my own culture,
yet, i also face the challenges frm the common society.
your own culture is your very own. so who cares if the others dun accept?
=P what matters is i'm comfy with my way of life.

"Love wins. Love always wins."

i hope so,
the way it is always portrayed in the ballets.

"Once you learn how to die, you learn how to live."

this is perhaps the most difficult to understand.
but slowly, i will learn to die (then to live), the way i'm so absorbed with my deathology, i shall learn. =P

It is 1979, a basketball game in the Brandeis gym. The team is doing well, and the student section begins to chant, "We're number one! We're number one!" Morrie is sitting nearby. He is puzzled by the cheer. At one point, in the midst of a "We're number one!" he rises and yells, "What's wrong with being number two?"

i told some1 before, "what's wrong with being number two?" and that person told me a list of things why it's wrong to be no. 2.
to tt person: i really really 4get who u are, pls dun get offended if u read this, i'm only stating my point of view.
but really, wad is wrong? as long as you have given your utmost best and u are satisfied with ur performance, u are already a winner. this is wad i believe in.
i dun feel that one should be result-oriented. sometimes, things dun turn out the way u expect, actually, it's most of the time. why be so obsessed with the results when u noe that u have done well? wad matters is that u are happy. results are just a way to show ur hard work. and sometimes, u dun have to show off the results to be happy. things are juz a personal accomplishment.

"Tears are okay."

of coz tears are okay, if not, i'll probably be dead by now.
let it flow.

"Death ends a life, not a relationship."

if u dun believe in an eternal soul, this is.
